It’s designed for complete beginners looking for a fast route into paid work on the water\, as well as crew already on board who want to be trusted with the tender\, and no previous experience is needed. \nYou’ll spend time on the water every day practising close-quarters handling\, coming alongside in wind and tide\, high-speed handling and man overboard recovery\, alongside navigation and passage planning\, collision regulations\, ropework\, anchoring and pre-departure engine checks. \nOn completion you’ll receive the IYT RIB Master certificate\, internationally recognised and MCA approved\, allowing you to command vessels up to 15 metres within 20 nautical miles of a safe haven\, and it’s a strong first ticket to have on your CV when applying through crew agencies.
