PSCRB Refresher

What this course covers

The PSCRB Refresher is a one-day course in Hout Bay, Cape Town, that revalidates your Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats certificate. It’s for crew who already hold PSCRB and need to keep it current, since it has to be refreshed every five years to stay valid for officer roles and safety duties on board.

You’ll launch, handle and recover a life-raft and rescue boat with an instructor, practise man overboard recovery, and go over distress signals and how to take charge of survivors in the water, with practical assessment through the day.

On completion you’ll receive a revalidated PSCRB certificate, good for another five years, so your safety tickets are in order for your next contract or CoC application.
