Introductory Courses

Everything you need for your first job on a superyacht, taught by instructors who’ve spent real time at sea.

Introductory Yachting Courses - PYT Cape

Starting out in yachting

Most crew start with the same few certificates. STCW is compulsory for anyone working at sea. After that, captains look for people who can handle lines, drive a tender and keep the boat safe without needing to be shown twice.

These courses cover that ground. If you’d rather do it all in one go, the four-week Superyacht Deckhand Course combines several of them into one programme.
